I teach 26 wonderful third grade students. We are a full inclusion classroom which means my students come from a variety of intellectual backgrounds. My students are just like any other classroom. They enjoy working in groups, learning on computers, and learning through play.
My students also come from a low income background which comes with its challenges.
We don't always have the resources that a typical classroom wants or needs. My goal is to give my students the best education possible with the supplies that I have been provided.
My Project
Our students suffer from a lack of technology at our school. Considering most students today have had a device in their hand since a young age, we need to be using that technology as a benefit in our classroom.
With these touch screen devices, my students will be able to take their learning to the next level.
They will be able to listen to read-alouds, work online on research based learning website, and work on group projects online. These devices also give students the chance to explore topics they are curious about which will help build thoughtful and curious students.
These students need the chance to use technology in the classroom because it is the growing language of today's generation.
