Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

My Project
My students are truly incredible. They come to school each day ready to learn, despite the many challenges they face outside the classroom. What I love most about them is their determination, creativity, and the joy they bring to our learning environment. They think differently, learn differently, and teach me something new every single day. Each student has their own strengths and needs, and it’s my mission to help them grow in a way that works best for them.
My classroom is part of an urban school district where many students experience difficult home life situations.
Some face economic hardship, family instability, or limited access to academic support outside of school. Despite these challenges, they show up—eager to feel safe, supported, and successful. For many of my students, school is their most consistent and encouraging space, and I work hard to make our classroom one that builds trust, structure, and confidence.
Many of my students also have special learning needs and benefit from visual, auditory, and hands-on support. Traditional materials don’t always meet those needs, which is why iPads would be such a powerful tool. With iPads, I can provide apps that support reading, math, communication, and executive functioning—tools like speech-to-text, read-aloud books, digital graphic organizers, and interactive lessons that adapt to each student’s level and learning style.
More than just a piece of technology, each iPad is a gateway to confidence, connection, and meaningful learning.
