This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The solar glasses and books I am requesting will have an impact on the learning experience of my 4th grade students as they continue to understand the world around them while they experience total solar eclipse of 2024. The solar glasses will provide our 4th grade class with a safe and direct way to view the solar eclipse.

Students will be able to witness the phenomena of the moon passing in front of the sun.

Additionally, the books about solar eclipses will provide context and background information that will enrich the students' learning experience. It is my hope to captivate students' imaginations and foster a love for learning. They are naturally curious and have a passion for learning. Providing them with opportunities like viewing a total solar eclipse only ignites their passion further.
