Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a school-wide (100%) free or reduced-price lunch Title I and low performing school (Program Improvement School). Eighty percent of my students are English language learners. Our community is culturally diverse and socioeconomically low. Because most of our parents do not speak English and work many part-time jobs, it's hard for parents to get involved in their children's learning. Many of my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

Having a second screen will allow me to engage in all my students on one screen and my lesson plans on the other.

As you all know, teachers are the best at multi-tasking.Being an elementary school teacher and teaching all the school subjects, I have so many tabs open on my computer, that I can get easily lost and frustrated.

Having a 2nd monitor will make multi-tasking so much easier. If I receive a second monitor, I would be able to see if all my students are on task, engaged, and paying attention.
