My Project
My classroom is filled with 6- and 7-year-olds who are full of curiosity, creativity, and big ideas—but not all of them feel confident enough to speak up. As a teacher in a Title I school, I work with amazing children who face challenges beyond the classroom. Many come from low-income households, but they come to school ready to grow, connect, and shine.
My students light up when learning feels playful and active.
They learn best when they can move, talk, and participate in meaningful ways. I want to give every child—not just the loudest voices—a chance to be heard.
I am requesting a Qball, a soft, wireless, throwable microphone that makes classroom participation exciting and accessible for all learners. This fun, interactive tool will be used during morning meetings, reading time, math talks, writing shares, and social-emotional learning circles to encourage students to speak up and listen actively. By tossing the Qball from student to student, we’ll turn ordinary class discussions into dynamic, inclusive learning experiences. Even my shyest students will feel empowered to share their thoughts, knowing their voice will be heard clearly and celebrated. The Qball will bring movement, fun, and focus to our instruction while building confidence and communication skills every day.
