Help me give my students some new books to read and respond to durning our Torch Light Thursdays and batteries to replace dimming torch lights.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students absolutely LOVE Torch Light Thursdays!!! Every Thursday we find a dark quiet spot to sit and read in our classroom. Although our classroom library has books the kids love to read, I would love to offer my students a larger book selection with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. One obstacle we are facing is our "torchlights" (book lights) are starting to dim so we need more batteries to brighten our minds with the power of reading and imagination. After reading our books we will use our composition books to respond to our reading.
