My students need some Toon graphic books to spark their interest in reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because they are full of life and hope. They are happy and energetic despite the area they live in. The neighborhood and school is in a low social economic area. The city doesn't provide many resource for the community, so my students are grateful for anything exciting or new that they experience.
These fourth and fifth grade students are caring and welcoming.
Throughout the day there are various special education students that mainstream into our classroom. My students make sure that everyone feels welcomed and part of the class and not just a visitor.
My Project
The Toon Book set will make a difference in my students' learning experience because they will be excited to read. Many times my students have a hard time keeping focus on a particular book because it doesn't hold interested, with the Toon Book set my students will read and learn about fictional elements.
The Toon Book set will offer an opportunity for my students to do independent reading.
During this independent reading they will be able to analysis that story to figure the theme of the story. They will also be able to learn through the characters actions of the story.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
