My Project
My students come to class every day full of curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Many of them are multilingual learners or first-generation students who balance school with big responsibilities at home. In our classroom, we focus on building community, encouraging student voice, and making learning as engaging and supportive as possible.
To help foster that environment, I’m requesting markers, stationary, healthy snacks, and paper—essential tools that allow students to interact with lessons, show their thinking, and collaborate more effectively.
We use whiteboard markers on whiteboards for quick writes, brainstorming, group games, and real-time feedback, while pens and markers help students take ownership of their writing and creative expression.
In addition, I’m asking for snacks to help meet a basic but critical need. Some students come to class hungry, and it’s hard to focus on reading or writing with an empty stomach. A small snack can make a big difference in helping students feel comfortable, stay energized, and participate more fully in class.
