Tools to Support Mental Health

Help me give my students a rocking chair to self calm in our mental health classroom and weekly magazines that are of high interest helps the students reading about enjoy current and relevant issues.

My Project

The rocking chair will be placed in the back of the classroom so there is an option available to self calm. There used to be one available and it was very effective for this purpose. It is missed. This rocking chair is sturdier. An advantage of this particular rocker is that it can be wiped down and cleaned. This rocker will be safe for our hospital environment.

The current issues and high interest topics in the chosen weekly magazines will encourage relevant reading and discussions.

Having good conversations and opening communication is important in a hospital classroom.

Students undergo a lot of kinds of stress. They appreciate the tools provided to help deal with what they may be feeling in their body. Trying various tools help to them know there are ways to deal with it. The foot fidget will be great to put under the table to use in the classroom setting.
