Help me give my students basic supplies like paint brushes, sharpeners and highlighters to let their creativity flow across subjects.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are English Language Learners. Every day they work hard on learning to communicate fluently or learn effectively in English. Many of them come from non-English-speaking homes and backgrounds, and require specialized or modified instruction in both the English language and in their academic courses.
I work in a Title I school with a very high immigrant population.
Many of my students have very limited schooling in their first language. In our school we move from learning letters to reading very quickly. We help students learn English while giving them the chance to work at a pace that’s challenging for them without it being too overwhelming. My students come from all around the world, from many different and often difficult situations. They hold the American Dream, but need the tools to make them successful.
My Project
It is very important to create an environment of acceptance and kindness in the classroom. My students have diverse learning needs and should participate in activities that can display all levels of abilities. When students are given the opportunity to express themselves artistically, the outcome is fantastic.
The arts don’t just develop a child’s creativity—the skills they learn because of them spill over into academic achievement.
Different size paint brushes, highlighters, and finishing products to highlight artwork are important parts of this activity. Students will have the opportunity to respond to stories through art.
There is no "right or wrong" way with art. Through art, students learn how to interpret, analyze, and use visual information, and to make choices based on it. Learning how to make choices and decisions will certainly carry over into their education and other parts of life—as this is certainly a valuable skill in adulthood.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
