My students are the best! I am lucky enough to be able to spend my days working with kids that have not always been given the best chance, yet show up and continue to try their best each and every day.
My students come from an extremely low-income area where they have to deal with difficult situations both in and out of school.
As the Social-Emotional Learning teacher, it is my job to teach them skills to be able to develop skills to learn to cope, understand, and show empathy in school and out. In order to teach them successful, we work in small-group centers and learn to work together as classmates so that they can bring these relationship-building home as well.
