Tools to Grow Our Garden and Education

Help me give my students gardening tools to support our agriculture program and two greenhouse areas.

My Project

Right now we don't have the gardening tools to support the students in creating a passion for agriculture and the environment. When I took over this class we had one shovel and one leaf rake. With the addition of these shovels and two loop hoes, more kids can be involved in the gardening projects. Our students are involved in several environmental projects like 'Pull Your Share' and grow produce for our school food pantry.

We are working on growing a passion for agriculture both in small gardens and large-scale agriculture.

My classes learn good stewardship of our natural resources and how what we do in our gardens impacts the ecosystem. It is important to be able to tie all of our lessons together with environmental concerns.

As a school, this is sometimes the only chance these kids get to learn about what it takes to grow your own plants.
