My Students
My students are creative, young citizens who are diverse in their ethnic backgrounds. They come to my classroom full of life and energy. Their homes and families are rich in culture and tradition. While my students are creative and bring so many ideas to the table, they often lack the necessary resources to provide the opportunities, tools, activities, etc., to explore their ideas. I am seeking resources to create more opportunities for them to learn and grow through the arts.
My Project
In order to give my students opportunities to create original art, they must have the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment to continue to create. The elementary art experience is a mixed media experience that allows students to explore several different media, art-making processes, tools, and genres. Oil pastels will be useful in drawing activities as well as mixed media projects. It will offer students alternative media options to typical crayons and markers. Glue sticks will be helpful in collages and other kinds of projects and activities. They are useful and easy to use.
