This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students’ dedication and enthusiasm for their vocational responsibilities.
In our high school special education classroom, students take pride in their vocational tasks, shredding papers or printing important notices.
These tasks help build independence, confidence, and essential job skills.
The laminating pouches allow us to create durable visual supports, schedules, and task lists that help students stay on track. Pattern blocks provide hands-on learning opportunities, enhancing problem-solving and spatial reasoning. Disinfecting wipes help students maintain a clean workspace, fostering responsibility and hygiene awareness.
The paper shredder is vital for their vocational training, allowing them to develop fine motor skills while contributing to the school community. The rolling cart makes transporting materials easier, helping students practice organization and independence. Dry erase markers enable interactive learning, from practicing job-related writing tasks to engaging in classroom discussions.
Staple removers are small but essential tools for students working on office-related tasks, improving their dexterity and attention to detail while protecting the shredder. Lastly, the printer is crucial for their vocational work, allowing them to create notices and documents efficiently, reinforcing their role in the school’s daily operations.
Each of these resources directly supports my students' learning, helping them develop the skills they need for success in and beyond the classroom.
