This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I cherish most about my students is their boundless imagination and the unique perspectives they contribute to our classroom. They inspire me daily with their curiosity and creativity, especially when we blend art into our reading lessons.
By integrating art with materials such as Crayola Markers, Crayola Jumbo Crayons, and Crayola Colored Pencils into reading, students can visualize the narratives they explore, bringing stories to life through their illustrations.
This approach enhances their comprehension and fosters a deeper emotional connection to the material. Research supports this method, indicating that creating art related to a text can help students visualize and better understand the content, thereby enhancing their comprehension.
The resources I am seeking, such as art supplies and visual aids, will empower my students to express their interpretations creatively. These tools will enable them to engage more deeply with the texts, promote critical thinking, and build confidence in their abilities. By supporting this project, you're not just providing materials, you are opening doors for students to explore literature in a multidimensional way, making learning both meaningful and memorable.
