Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my second-grade classroom, I firmly believe I am teaching future doctors, nurses, teachers, leaders, and world-changers. Each day, I work to create a space where students feel supported, capable, and inspired to reach their full potential. This project will help provide tools and resources that truly make a difference in their learning experience.
Snacks keep students focused and energized throughout the day.
I also like to send snacks home during long breaks for children who may not have consistent access to food at home. This small act shows them they are cared for, both in and out of school.
Sensory items like fidgets and cushions support students who need help with focus, anxiety, or regulation. These tools promote a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
A rolling teacher desk will allow me to move freely around the classroom to support students more closely and flexibly. It helps me stay connected and engaged with learners wherever they are.
Chair cover organizers will help students manage their books and supplies more independently. With so many materials to juggle, this simple tool will greatly improve organization and daily routines.
Durable plastic folders will keep their work protected and tidy all year long.
A hands-on science kit will bring lessons to life through exploration and experimentation. It sparks curiosity and builds excitement for learning.
Journal pens will make our final writing unit feel extra special, helping students take pride in their published stories.
Finally, I’d love to offer small prizes for students who earn 100 percent on spelling tests to celebrate hard work and motivate growth.
