Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every student deserves a classroom where they feel safe, supported, and inspired. With your help, I can create a space that encourages focus, emotional growth, and leadership skills—one small moment, one tool, and one child at a time.
Dry-erase lap boards will allow students to participate actively in lessons while providing a hands-on way to practice and express their thinking.
Sensory tools, such as pop fidget toys and motivational stress balls, will be available in our calming corner to help students self-regulate, focus, and manage their emotions throughout the day.
Headphones will support independent learning, helping students stay on task during reading, online activities, and testing.
Laminating Sheets will preserve classroom visuals, student work, and learning tools that we use every day to reinforce routines and academic skills.
Snacks ensure that no student goes without the fuel they need to focus and learn. A variety of treats will help build community and let students know their needs are seen and valued.
A Beanbag Chair and Pillow will complete our cozy reading nook, which will be a calm, welcoming corner where students can read, reflect, or take a moment to reset. This space encourages both literacy and emotional well-being, which are two pillars of strong future leaders.
