My Students

Our students' families are from across our district and a variety of socio economic backgrounds. We bring a sense of community to our students with a mix of learning and teamwork. This occurs through an online platform while students meet with their teachers throughout the school day for lessons and learning. Likewise, they may meet in smaller workgroups with their teacher and classmates.

I work with children from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and various incomes.

I strive to provide an opportunity to learn and thrive. Our student body is tenacious and show incredible flexibility. After all of the struggles and stresses from the pandemic; we want to offer a variety of social emotional lessons to all of our students.

Our students are full of questions, creative, tenacious and thoughtful! They absolutely love engaging projects, lessons and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!

My Project

I am teaching weekly Social Emotional Learning in my Kindergarten through 5th grade classes. The stories I will share will show the students a variety of coping skills and tools they can choose to help them become self regulated learners. The stories reinforce the lessons allowing the children to imagine themselves in a variety of settings.

Students with strong coping skills develop the determination to overcome obstacles to learning.

They learn to develop social skills and inner strength. I have seen students grow confident and able to overcome barriers both in and out of the classroom when their coping skills become second nature.
