Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn—but like all kids, they need the right environment to truly thrive.
Our classroom is full of diverse learners, and some of them struggle with focus, sensory processing, or anxiety.
To better support them, I’m hoping to transform our space into a more flexible, inclusive, and student-centered environment.
To do this, I’m requesting:
1. Flexible seating options to give students the freedom to choose where and how they learn best
2. Chair bands that allow students to release energy in a quiet, non-disruptive way
3. Headphones to help with concentration, reduce distractions, and support audio-based learning tools
4. Pencil toppers that serve as fidgets for students who need to move to stay focused
These tools will create a more calming and productive environment, helping students regulate themselves and stay engaged during learning time.
