My students need tools to continue making their robots. We had an amazingly successful season and we want to continue to grow our program. We are incorporating new students and even more events this year.

My Students
NWR High School in NJ consists of grades 7 through 12. NWR is starting a FIRST Robotics Competition team this school year, 2017-2018. This is part of a school wide initiative to have a strong focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), which will better prepare our students for future careers. The robotics team will provide a challenging format for the students. This in addition to an extensive program of STEM courses starting in 7th grade and extending through 12th grade.
Team Summary:
The North Warren FIRST Robotics Competition team is newly founded in 2017. There are 40 Students involved in this amazing program. It is comprised of students from all walks of life. We have both boys and girls involved in our program and we really look to further their future and education especially in the areas of science technology and engineering. We are a small rural school but we are still dedicated to ensuring that our students get the same opportunities that are offered to any other students.
My Project
Theses tools will help our students build our robot for next years First Robotics competition. As we grew, we realized the need for more tools, so that the students can each have a chance to learn vital skills for today's engineers. We truly believe in the motto, Learn By Doing. We had great success in the competition this year, but we burnt through a good amount of our equipment and are in need of new tools especially the drill bits. We went through countless amounts of drill bits and they are key for creating the holes that we use for bolts to hold the robot together. Also the drill, for the drill bits, we order would be nice to have two of them so we don't have to wait for other people to be done using the one we already have.
One of the most important skills that we have been focusing on is that our students understand the fiscal and engineering constraints and how they interact.
