My Students

My students are wonderfully creative innovators. They thrive on hands-on activities that require thought and perseverance. They love any projects in which they are challenged. They always come ready to try new things.

One of the biggest struggles my students face is the lack of resources they need.

Being part of an urban society, many of my students are transient and do not have the resources to spend on school supplies because they are focused on survival. Though they are ready to learn, they do not have anywhere to keep the fold-ables and projects we work on both in and out of the classroom.

My Project

Thanks to our school district we have been able to get whiteboards for our classroom. We have had blackboards, but the upgrade is wonderful. I am looking to get a few iPad chargers, whiteboard markers, and the materials we've been missing.

As we transition back to full in-persons students I want to make sure my class is hands-on for students.

The markers and colored pencils will enable us to organize our notes, examples, and practice. The iPad chargers are because that is a constant battle with losing power. These tools will encourage our students to learn the important skill of organization.
