This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching in Spanish, and while it has been an exciting journey, it’s also come with the challenge of finding high-quality, effective teaching resources in Spanish for language arts, math, and science. Teachers Pay Teachers has been an incredible source of creative, engaging resources made by experienced educators, and I’ve curated a wish list of items that I know would make a meaningful impact in my classroom. Unfortunately, I’ve held off on purchasing them due to limited funds. A gift card would allow me to give my Kindergarteners the support they deserve and help me grow as a more effective educator. Your generosity would mean the world to a group of young learners eager to grow, and to a teacher deeply committed to helping them succeed.

This funding will help me grow professionally by allowing me to build a stronger, more culturally and linguistically responsive classroom.

As a first-year Spanish teacher, having access to high-quality, standards-aligned resources in Spanish will deepen my instructional toolkit and boost my confidence as an educator. I’ll be able to observe and learn what strategies and materials engage my students most effectively, helping me refine my teaching practice. With these resources, I can also save valuable planning time and focus more on student data, differentiation, and creativity—core aspects of strong, reflective teaching. Ultimately, this support empowers me to not only meet my students' needs more effectively, but to grow into a more skilled, resourceful, and impactful bilingual educator.
