Majority of my students come for economically disadvantage households and come to school hungry. Also, many of my students are reading below grade level. The items that I am asking for will provide additional tools for my students to be successful this school year. The crackers will allow me to provide something to eat if they are hungry. Students who come to school hungry will not be able to focus on the instructional process. The dry erase markers will be used in tandem with the whiteboards. These tools allow me to check for understanding during and after the instructional process. Doing this will give me insight as to which student(s) would benefit from additional support. The mobile/standing desk will allow to be able to work alongside the students providing individual support while still be able to monitor and engage all of the students. The mobile/standing desk, crackers and dry erase markers will definitely add to their success.
