My Students
I teach a 4th grade early intervention program class (EIP). My students struggle in both reading and math. They love math although they struggle and have expressed a desire to be fluent readers. They are loveable children with infectious attitudes.
My Project
My students struggle in reading. We do not have a specified reading program and oftentimes we go without enough books for guided reading and we lack the resources to teach guided reading effectively. Math manipulatives will help students solve math tasks with representations. They will help strengthen their conceptual understanding of math. It has been a struggle teaching math virtually. The elmo will allow me to efficiently teach math from home or in the classroom. The scholastic magazines and workbooks will be great supplements for learning and independent center time.
