My Students
Our school is Title I. Students range from Asian to Hispanic to African-American to Arabic. Our school has a high population of special education students with a large spectrum of abilities and challenges such as autistic, emotionally disturbed, speech and language and other health impairments. Our school is the definition of diversity.
These first graders are curious, energetic and inspiring.
They are also a diverse group of students who come from a high needs area, who love to get their hands on new materials. This class has students with IEPs (Individualized Learning Programs) and who are English Language Learners, but that does not stop them from being thirsty learners.
My Project
The tools that are in this project are geared towards students using many modalities and strategies to fully understand mathematical concepts.
These students love math.
The children in this class are a group of diverse students of all abilities. Some have IEPs and some are not native to English.
The math tools and games in this project can be used for remediation, centers, and extra practice. The rug in this project will be used for a small center where students can go to cool down or to work independently or with a partner. Please help me give these extra tools to my students.
