Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the first time you performed in a school play? In an effort to make our spring show memorable, our class is in need of props and like materials in order to make our rendition of 'Stone Soup' a success.
As a grade we are also in need of fabulous mentor texts for our restaurant.
My students are kind, compassionate and inquisitive students who have a real hunger for learning.
They are creative and thoughtful. Our school is a warm and supportive learning environment, however, we are in need of a few resources to meet our goals of putting on a spring show and engaging in a restaurant study.
My Project
With the donated materials students will be able to perform and discover the magic in role playing and working collaboratively to put on a production. With the donation of the restaurant study texts, students will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to run a restaurant and the importance of restaurants in our local community. The books donated will be a starting point for our students and will help launch a study which will culminate in our running a restaurant.
Ultimately, donations to this project will help my learners by helping them to see the power in working together to achieve a goal both in putting on a production and running a restaurant.
