Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the joy of teaching an incredible group of students with special needs. Each of them brings their own strengths, challenges, and perspective to the classroom. What I love most about my students is their resilience, curiosity, and the way they celebrate even the smallest victories with joy. They work so hard every day to grow, learn, and overcome obstacles.
To better support their unique learning styles, we are requesting mouse clickers, trackpads, timers (both visual and standard), and disinfecting supplies.
Each of these items will make a meaningful impact:
Mouse clickers and trackpads will help students with fine motor difficulties engage with technology more easily and independently.
Visual and classroom timers will provide structure, support smoother transitions, and reduce anxiety by setting clear time expectations.
Disinfecting wipes and spray will help maintain a clean and healthy environment, which is essential for students with medical or sensory sensitivities.
