Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m lucky to teach an incredible group of young learners who come from diverse backgrounds, bringing with them a unique blend of cultures, perspectives, and languages. My students face the challenge of learning not only academic subjects but also English as a new language.
Each day, my students show up eager to learn, determined to grow, and filled with curiosity that inspires me to provide them with the best learning environment possible.
This project will help me transform our classroom into a more engaging, organized, and supportive space. With a printer and laminator, I can create durable, colorful visuals and interactive learning materials tailored to their needs—like math manipulatives, and visual aids for small groups. The paper cutter and lamination sheets will allow me to customize resources to make sure every student has hands-on tools they can use in small groups or independently. Sheet protectors will enable students to write on and reuse practice sheets, supporting active learning without wasting paper. Dry erase markers are perfect for interactive lessons, where students can participate and show their work on personal boards, gaining confidence as they learn through trial and error. Above all, I hope to keep my students motivated and energized. A small reward, like a piece of candy, goes a long way to celebrate their effort and progress, adding a touch of excitement to their hard work
My goal is to ensure that each child feels supported and confident in their learning journey, no matter where they are from or what challenges they face. These resources will make a difference by creating a welcoming, well-organized classroom where my students can thrive and enjoy their learning experiences.
