My Students

I have a very diverse group of students. Some are students who have great opportunities, while others need to have the opportunities provided to them. That is where I step in! My students love a change of pace; they love to be active, and they desire to explore, collaborate and create. Solving mysteries, debating opinions and figuring things out are exciting learning moments for them in my class.

Being a science teacher who will be teaching in a hybrid setting, I need to keep my students engaged and able to show what they are learning.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

My struggling students and English learners, as well as native English speakers, are often excited and ready to engage in scientific discussion through investigations that involve inquiry and research. These types of activities help engage every student in the classroom and provide a way for them to explore their thoughts by building on ideas from others.

My students are curious and ready to explore the scientific world through hands-on activities and technology that enhances their research.

My Project

We all know students like wearing their school gear showing their support for their team, group, club, and point of view. Our science classes would like to start their own apparel business for our middle school community in which they will be printing and pressing t-shirts, hoodies, hats, water bottles, keychains and sweatshirts which will help them learn what it takes to run their own business as well as raising some awareness for various topics covered in class.

The classes will work collaboratively to run the business learning how to create a prototype market the products, complete a budget, do bookkeeping, take orders, sell, producing and distribute the products to customers.

Please help me give them a circuit maker so they can create and cut the images that will be displayed on their products.
