Help me give my students basic school supplies like pencils, erasers, and lined paper. With these things, they will have a successful distance learning 1st grade year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
First grade students are at the perfect age! They are inquisitive, eager, and enthusiastic learners. This is the grade that experiences the most growth, especially in reading. They love coming to school, although, unfortunately, we will be starting off the school year remotely.
My students are so excited to start first grade.
Please help them succeed this school year by giving them learning tools to use at home. I want them to have the best year possible, despite the circumstances.
My Project
My students are starting off the year with distance learning. They need essential supplies to succeed in day-to-day academic lessons while learning from home. Many of my students' families are unable to purchase these materials. I want all of my students to succeed by having all of the necessary tools at their fingertips.
First grade is an important foundational year during which students learn the skills needed for the rest of their academic schooling.
By the end of the year, my students will be reading and responding to text by writing their thoughts on paper. They will develop their mathematical thinking by solving word problems on a white board.
