Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach and coach at an inner-city high school in Texas, where our students bring incredible heart, grit, and determination to everything they do. Many of them are English language learners or student-athletes, and they are navigating both academic and personal challenges while striving to succeed.
This project supports our students by providing essential resources—whether it's warm-up gear to help our soccer athletes train safely during cold mornings or training tools to build teamwork and confidence in our program.
These resources go beyond physical needs; they help foster a sense of pride, community, and readiness to take on the world.
