Tools for Gel Printing

Help me give my students tools to use with our new gel printing plates.

My Project

I recently attended classes on printing with gel printing plates and learned lessons to bring back to my students. Gel printing plates are an awesome reusable tool for teaching monoprints. I've used donated money to buy the actual plates, but I need to purchase the remaining tools and supplies needed for our projects.

Brayers are needed to place the paint of the surface of the gel printing plates.

We will be able to use the brayers year after year. Although they are pricey, it is a necessary tool for several projects.

The pan pastels are used to apply another layer of color and texture to the prints. Students will be using a small amount and I'm planning on using these for the next two or three years. A little bit goes a long way.

As always, thank you for supporting the LJHS art program. I love providing awesome projects and fun new mediums for my students.
