Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 10th grade ESL students are multilingual learners who are working hard to build academic language skills while engaging with high school-level content.

Many of them are new to the country and navigating a new school system, so having access to consistent, organized materials helps create a sense of structure and belonging.

The colorful folders and file organizers will support students in managing their work across multiple classes and tracking their language development over time. The dry erase boards and markers will be used for real-time language practice, from grammar exercises to peer feedback.

Creative tools like colored pencils and scented markers help make vocabulary, reading, and writing activities more interactive—important for students who are learning through visuals and hands-on engagement. The pencil sharpener ensures we stay ready to work without interruptions.

Finally, the cleaning supplies—tissues, wipes, paper towels, and hand sanitizer—are essential for keeping our shared classroom safe, especially in a space used by multiple groups throughout the day.

With these supplies, my students will be better equipped to focus, participate, and take pride in their learning.
