My Project
I love how curious, creative, and eager to learn my 5th-grade students are. They come into the classroom each day ready to grow, collaborate, and express themselves—whether through writing, problem-solving, or artistic projects.
The resources in this project will help set them up for success.
Headphones will allow students to focus during independent work, especially when using learning programs or videos. Dry erase markers, glue sticks, and colored pencils will support hands-on learning and help them show their thinking in fun, engaging ways. We also frequently use colored pencils in math to color-code graphs, highlight key parts of word problems, and represent volume and area visually. Highlighters will strengthen reading and writing skills, while binder clips and pencil pouches will help keep materials organized and accessible. Every item will help create a focused, supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
Having the right tools accessible makes a huge difference in how students learn and feel in the classroom. When supplies are accessible, students can stay focused, organized, and confident in their work. Many of my students don’t have access to basic materials at home, so having these resources available in class ensures everyone has what they need to succeed.
