My Project

I teach 4th–6th grade special education students in a resource classroom. My students work hard every day to improve their reading, writing, and spelling skills, but many face challenges such as low reading fluency, struggles with building complete sentences, paragraphs and essays and inconsistent spelling patterns. They are determined learners who thrive when given the right tools and strategies to make learning concrete and engaging. Your support will put the right tools in my students’ hands — tools that turn frustration into success and help them become confident, capable readers, writers, and spellers.
