My students need their tools to be successful in class. In order to have a successful day students need to know they feel prepared. They need pencils, markers, ink, glue and crayons to help them be successful!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students at FA come from a variety of backgrounds. Many students come to school each day not only to learn, but to feel a sense of belonging. Our school is a home for most of our students. Students in my classes also have varying abilities. Many of my students have learning disabilities that would benefit from numerous technology applications.
I know that creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment is more important than any lesson I will teach.
Students need to be able to forget about their problems at home and enjoy the time they spend at school. They also need to be confident in their abilities. I make sure that all of my students know that I am one of their biggest supporters and I believe in them.
Having technology in the classroom will open up opportunities that many of my students will only have at school.
My Project
My students will use these materials to create little toolboxes to get them through the day. Having these supplies will help them work together on projects and posters. My students need various mediums to express their learning through classroom activities and group assignments.
The materials I have selected will arm my students a basic arsenal of limitless potential for a unique expression of learning.
Pencils, dry erase markers, crayons, ink and glue sticks are some of the materials they need in order to achieve success. Hands on work and visual stimulation are a key component of learning in our classroom, and these materials will give my students a great start.
Creativity is intelligence having fun, and if this is true, these are some of the materials my students need to be able to master their knowledge in a fun and engaging way.
