My Students
The Green Team - a schoolwide and community recycling project.
I teach at a Title 1 elementary school in Middle Georgia.
Last year we started a recycling team. This year I have a group of students in 3rd - 5th grade that volunteer each morning before school to sort and pack our recycled items such as drink bottles and cans, chip bags, used cell phones, glue sticks and more.
My Project
We are requesting gloves, large trash bags and antibacterial soap. Our school has limited supplies for our recycling team to use. We have recently run out of large bags and other supplies, and need to replenish them. We need to large bags to sort our cans and bottles, we also need antibacterial soap and gloves to keep our volunteers safe.
Please help us keep this vital program of recycling going by supporting this project for my students.
These bags are a very needed supply as well as the gloves and soap. To date our children have collected over 50,000 bottles and cans since school began this past August ('11). Thank you for considering this project!
