Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is full of books, different types of technology, flexible seating, and music. Students are able to switch seats and complete their work all over the classroom, wherever and however they are most successful.
My students are a great group of students who love to move, create, learn, ask questions, and occasionally make a mess in the classroom.
I am lucky enough to have two classes of 4th graders for science. Whenever we have a lab to complete in class, you can sense the excitement from everybody, including myself.
My Project
I teach a group of 4th graders that love reading. We have to create sign-up lists for new books, they enjoy sharing their favorite books with others, and they love reading to our younger Buddy Readers.
Providing my students with award-winning literature is a great privilege.
Each year, my students read several of the Texas Bluebonnet Award books and they become a staple in our classroom library. Having the entire set will be an amazing addition to our library.
My students have also requested four updated Kindles. Our current Kindle Fires are at least 4-5 years old, and some are in need of replacement. Our Kindles have several Audible and eBooks uploaded on them, and my students enjoy reading their favorite books at the touch of a button.
