This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to create another reading center where 4-5 year olds can listen to learning material, storybooks, and music. The Tonie box system is fun and easy for young kids to operate and the variety of characters capture their interests.

Reading to kids is one of the most important things to foster future reading abilities in students.

Many of my TK students come from low income families and have never had someone read a book to them. Please help me change this! The Tonie box has a variety of subjects and also comes with characters where I can record myself or other guests reading stories to the kids. This also means stories can be recorded in more than one language.
