Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach children in a low-income and high poverty neighborhood in the inner city of Los Angeles. At this Title I school, 100% of my students receive free and reduced lunch.
Though their economic standing has them encountering many challenges, struggling to receive an exemplary education will not be one of them, as far as I am concerned.
My hope is to provide my students with the highest expectations so that they can succeed in their lives, education, and careers. To help me do that, I need resources that these student may not have readily available.
My Project
My classroom printer is running terribly low on toner, so I am creating this project to get more so I can continue to produce worksheets for my students, and allow them to print their stories that they create on google docs.
Toner is a necessary resource in the classroom because it allows me to give my students's work life.
They will be able to take pride in their work as they see themselves become published authors.
I cannot wait to get this project fully funded so I can share with you some of my student's accomplishments and the amazing things they can produce when they have the tools to succeed.
