My Project
"Are you ready Tigers?" is what I always ask my reading and writing students every day. They always answer with a resounding "Yes!" as they enter my class. Our students need all the positive reinforcement they can get.
My school has a high number of students who are ESOL, and ELL and there are a few who are SPED and gifted.
Even though we have to cater to and adapt to such a wide range of learning needs, we know that all children will learn if given the right tools and technology (and teachers who care). As their reading teacher and school-wide reading coach, one of my main objectives are to facilitate the students I serve using the most up-to-date technology, while improving and enhancing their reading experiences.
Currently, we do not have a monochrome printer in my classroom; therefore, my students are unable to print out hard copies of their assignments and essays.
In the Fall, we will be restarting writing sessions with our fourth and fifth graders, so it would be ideal if we could give them handouts of the PowerPoint lessons prepared for them, so they retain and can review each lesson.
