Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of the donations received will be utilized for the Communities In Schools classroom on campus. Within our resource room, we offer art supplies that cater to the social-emotional needs of our students, serving as a means to help them alleviate stress. For example, we provide a variety of Sharpie colors for coloring, acrylic paint markers for artistic expression, and gel ink pens for students who prefer to journal their emotions privately.
To assist students in managing their stress, we offer building bricks sets, sensory stress balls, and fidget toys.
Additionally, we have office chairs available for students who require a designated space to work on computers, particularly those engaged in credit recovery programs. Lastly, the TV will be utilized for parent meetings and delivering social-emotional learning lessons to support our students.
Our primary objective is to empower students to remain in school and successfully graduate. By providing these items to our students, you are helping to eliminate any obstacles that may hinder their ability to attend school.
