This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success." - Henry Ford Collaboration and working together for a set goal has been an essential part of our classroom environment.

My 24 second grade students are very active, energetic, and enthusiastic learners.

Though they come from low socio-economic households, their thrive for knowledge amazes me every day. They are continuing to learn character and the importance of respecting others as they synergize.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will help my enthusiastic English Language Learners work together for set goals. They will use the physical education equipment in collaborative activities. They will use the comet balls, hula hoops, and activity mats to play collaborative games during their physical education period and recess. They will learn to play their recorders and play songs in unison in performances. They will use the comfortable seating cushions as they read with a partner or with their group during book clubs. Having the magnetic base ten set will help my students see how to compose and decompose numbers. The chart tablets are a must to continue to make learning visuals for my students. Having access to these materials will make our collaborative activities a success.

Your donations will help my students tremendously because they will have access to equipment we need in our daily activities.

They will be able to practice teamwork and unity as they learn and play together.
