My Students

Our students are a great bunch of kids with a passion for sports. They come from a variety of backgrounds and would love the opportunity to play all types of sports. Most of all my students face some sort of financial hardships but that doesn’t keep them from trying their hardest.

My Project

Team sports not only help children feel better physically, but they can also help a child with emotional and mental development. In turn, these benefits help a child build self-esteem, feel pride in learning new skills, and find fun in competitive play. Kids can also learn the value of practice and how working hard to master a task can work in other areas of their life. The resources that I have requested will allow our younger students to compete in team sports. The goals will be utilized for our soccer, hockey, and floor hockey leagues. The basketball hoops will help our autistic students learn the importance of being a part of an all-inclusive team. The net can be used to teach tennis, volleyball, and badminton. These items can give our young students numerous opportunities to play a multitude of team sports.
