Help me give my students a new table to sit at and read informational text with current news! They also need printed resources and leveled texts!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Vance's classroom raised $589
This project is fully funded
My Students
I work with a very diverse group of students. I work with students in grades third through fifth grade who are at least 2 grade levels behind in reading. This is a new position at my school so resources are limited. I work with a great group of students and I'm so proud of their success so far!
They've already showed so much growth, I can't wait to see what else they can do!
I want to over them the best reading intervention possible because they're a great group of kids!
My Project
This is a new position so I don't have a lot of resources like a classroom fee. Most of my pens are old and running out of ink so I need new ones I like to make my reading resources bright and colorful to keep the kids' attentions. I work with students with many different learning styles so I want to have as many visual resources as possible but since this position is new, I'm starting from scratch. I have to laminate my rubrics and anchor chart for future use so The laminating pouches would be put to great use. The table where I work with my fifth graders is old and falling apart. We need a new one that doesn't shed paint chips.
I have students that are on reading levels ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade.
I print a lot of leveled reading passages with my personal color printer. Getting ink would Allow me to print leveled texts in color so all my students can receive differentiate instruction! Since I don't have a designated room, I move around the school. My arms get tired by the end of the day! I would be able to move my resources around easily with a rolling crate. The folders would be used for the students to keep their resources organized. The cool pens would make peer editing a little bit more fun! The scholastic subscription would allow my students to work on reading comprehension in a cross curriculum setting while learning about current events. I don’t recieve PBIS funds for rewards and incentives and these kids deserve little prizes when they do extraordinary work. We need small things that will add up to make a big difference!
