Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am in need of items that can help engage students before, during and after crisis. Items such as fidgets, stress balls, and anger management toys, coloring items, can help support a safe environment that will help keep students stimulated, regulated and motivated. It can help students focus and help reduce anxiety.

Mornings seem to be difficult for students and I would like to have items for students that can help get their day started in a positive way.

I also notice some students have difficulty transitiong to their specials, such has gym, art, music or lunch. These items can help make a difference in self-regulation and help reduce distractions.

My goal is to use these items to promote healthy re-direction and positive therapeutic reinforcements, with some goals of a reward system.
