Having a diverse library rich in genres, characters, and excitement is a top priority for me as a teacher. In the back of my classroom, I have a bulletin board above our classroom library that reads, "Reading will take you on the greatest adventures." The last two years have been my most successful years of students engaged with books that they look forward to reading. Students are actively requesting more time to read and wanting more book recommendations, and I know this because of the classroom library that we are growing.
