My Project
When teaching kids to read, their attention is most important. I tried picking books that I know are at my students' reading levels, as well as books I believe they would find interesting. Dr. Seuss and Pete the Cat series are well known for catching the eyes and ears of children as they make reading fun and exciting. From the colors of the pictures, the words on the page, and the storyline, they both know how to keep the kids engaged. With these books, I hope to advance not only their reading levels but simply their love for reading.

My plan is to create a different kind of love for books and reading. I want my students to WANT to learn to read. I want them to fall in love with books, and the stories they tell and know that if you can learn to read then you can do anything! Please help me give my students a gift that will always keep giving.
