This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year 4th grade teacher. I work at a Title 1 school and need help filling my library with diverse books for my students to get invested in. I want all my students to have a love for learning. A love for learning starts with being interested in what they are learning.
Creating a calm down corner in my classroom is something that I am striving to do. When my students get upset, need to calm down, or simply just need to take a break, I want them to turn to the calm down corner. This corner will have a comfortable rug, several books, and fidget toys for my students to use to help them calm down. Thank you so much in advance for donating to my classroom library and calm down corner.
