This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school unfortunately does not have a traditional school library. Every book that is placed in my classroom library is treated with love and care, and we are thankful for the opportunities to read. With these new wonderful book bins, I can give each book a home and teach my students the importance of maintaining a library.
With these new book bins, kids can explore the bookshelves and book bins for new and exciting books on their own!
Students will have a space for them to develop into stronger readers and explore various genres, topics, experiences, and more! The best way to increase reading abilities is to read more and provide exposure to various texts. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
